The following costs are associated with having a baby with Laoch Midwifery:
1. The Midwife Fee ~ These fees are paid to the midwife as a global fee at the end of your pregnancy. Neva is an in-network provider with most insurance companies including the following Apple Health Plans: Community Health Plan of Washington, Molina, United and Amerigroup.
2. Birth Center Facility Fee ~ These fees are paid directly to the birth center. Birth center fees are seperate from midwife fees and often include a reservation fee.
3. Other providers and services ~ Labs, ultrasounds, and any visits to other providers during your pregnancy will be billed separately by those providers.

***When financially planning your pregnancy and birth, please keep in mind that midwives are small business owners. Unlike large health care organizations such as hospitals, midwives depend on each client's fees to feed their families and "keep the lights on." Laoch Midwifery PLLC financial policies have been established to make sure that women and their families can be served well into the future.
Billing for Midwifery Services
Midwifery is a service in which the entire course of care is billed in one lump sum at the time completion of the service, in this case it is the birth of the baby. These services span the course of an entire calendar year starting in early pregnancy, lasting 40 weeks of pregnancy and ending up to 8 weeks after the baby is born.
There are times when services will be itemized and billed separately by event. This includes any case where the requirements for global maternity care fees are not met. Examples include, a client that initiates care late in her pregnancy, visits that require more than normal prenatal or postpartum care, and newborn care.
